Week 9 Assignment: ANOVA

The purpose of this analysis is to assess whether the highest year of school completed varies significant by race. In the context of this analysis, the independent variable is RACE (which is measured at the nominal level, White = 1, Black =2, Other = 3). The dependent variable in the analysis is EDUC (which is measured at the ratio level). An ANOVA will be used to assess if RACE has a significant effect on EDUC. The test requires two assumptions: equality of variances and normality

The descriptive statistics of highest year of school completed by race are displayed below, in Table 1.
