Question: The counseling center on campus started a new program last year and hired a specialist who works closely with students in helping facilitate their plans for after graduation. Some students need assistance in applying to graduate schools or jobs and some are unsure of what they should do after school. The goal of the new program is to help students feel confident about their plans post-graduation. You are an academic psychologist and the counseling center has asked you to see if the new program is successful in helping students. You chose to survey psychology, biology, and business students’ confidence about their post-graduation plans. You survey the three groups of students who had gone through the program with the specialist from the counseling center and asked them to indicate whether they felt confident about plans post-graduation. You are interested in whether confidence in the program depends on students’ discipline. You are able to survey 66 students.
