Question: Exposure to DDT is regarded as a possible cause for breast cancer. To investigate this DDE, an important byproduct of DDT in the human body was measured for 38 breast cancer patients and 32 controls. The mean DDE levels for the breast cancer patients was 232 with a standard deviation of 14 units The mean DDE levels for the control group was 160 with a standard deviation of 15 units. Given this information, tt is suspected that the mean DDE levels in cancer patients may be more titan that of the controls. Perform an appropriate statistical analysis to investigate this suspicion.
