Question: You have the task of verifying that the publicity of Pepsi is true. This test consisted in giving people two cups of soft drinks without telling them which soft drink it was. After trying both, the person had to tell which one they liked the most. One of the cups had Coca cola and the other one Pepsi. The results, according to Pepsi were that more than half of the consumers in Michigan preferred Pepsi than Coca cola.
Now, you have to take 30 students chosen randomly and make them try the soft drinks register their preference. What you have to do is make a test of hypothesis to verify that:
The portion of students that prefer Pepsi is bigger than the ones that prefer Coca- cola. (Note: it’s not a test of hypothesis of comparison of measures, it is a test of hypothesis of comparison of portions).
