Your paper and presentation need to address the following:

  1. Identify the claim you are testing and your level of significance. Be specific.
  2. Identify the Null and the Alternative Hypothesis.
  3. Importance of your study. Why is your study valuable?
  4. Sampling Technique. Explain what sampling technique you used. How does your sample represent the population you are estimating?
  5. Data organization. Include appropriate methods covered in this class. Frequency distributions, Histograms, pie charts or bar graphs depending on the type of data you collected.
  6. Explain your data. Include sample size, standard deviation, shape of the distribution, determine whether or not your data is approximately normal.
  7. Do you accept or reject the Null Hypothesis? Support with your calculations. Does evidence support the claim?
  8. Limitations of your study. Explain what errors that occurred in your data collection. If you were to repeat this study, what things might you do differently? If you had unlimited resources and time, how might you change your study.

Presentation(20 pts Extra Credit!!)

For your presentation you will be graded on your ability to communicate the results of your study to the class. Include poster boards or digital presentation of your graphs and calculations. Include any props that will help you explain your project. Do not just read your report!

Report ( 30 pts)

Your report must be written in MLA format. Outlines are not acceptable. In addition to explaining the above in essay format, make sure to include a page for calculations and a page for graphs.
