Questions are often asked related to the issue of school size. A researcher in the Department of Education is interested to know if there are distinct regional patterns in school size, as measured by the number of classrooms. Using the SPSS data file frss79spec.sav (provided under the Doc Sharing):

? State the null and alternative hypotheses for testing the question: Is there a significant difference among the northeast, southeast, central, and west regions on question 1, total number of rooms in the surveyed schools?

? Determine and conduct the appropriate statistical test. State the test you chose and why.

? Copy or copy object and paste the relevant SPSS analysis.

? State whether you accept or reject the null hypothesis based on the analysis, using appropriate conventions to present your conclusion.
