Question: A study is designed to test whether or not going for a 15-minute walk at least three times a week reduces sleep-onset insomnia. A group of five people who suffer from sleep-onset insomnia were randomly selected and the number of minutes it took them to fall asleep was measured for one week. The average time is listed below as “before”. After one month of going for a 15-minute walk at least three times a week, the number of minutes it took them to fall asleep was measured again for one week. These averages are listed below as “after”.
