An information systems researcher wishes to determine whether the type of help system available to programmers has an effect on the time required to write a program. The researcher also knows that the experience of a programmer can influence the time (in minutes) required to write a program. An experiment is set up with three different help systems and four levels of programming experience (1 for almost no experience, 2 for no more than two years' experience but some previous experience, 3 for less than five years' but more than two years' experience, and 4 for more than five years' experience).
