Question: You have people complete a survey asking them what their favorite donut is. Note: You do not have to actually do a survey.

  1. How many people in total took the survey (and gave a response)? Note: You can make this number up as long as it’s an integer between 100 and 1000. Choose something interesting (not 100).
  2. How many people in the survey liked glazed donuts?
  3. Use this info to construct a 98% confidence interval for the true proportion of all people that like glazed donuts. Use the 4 step method as shown in the Chp. 8 lecture videos. As a reminder the 4 step process is:
    1. Find the critical value. Round to 2 decimal places.
    2. Find the margin of error. Round to 3 decimal places.
    3. Construct the confidence interval using inequality notation (ie. "<")
    4. Write an interpretation of your interval using proper units.
