(Step-by-Step) Jerry Longjump, Director of the Prescott City Parks and Recreation Department has proposed to redevelop an old community park. Enter Mayor

Question: Jerry Longjump, Director of the Prescott City Parks and Recreation Department has proposed to redevelop an old community park. Enter Mayor Harley Davidson, who questions the need to upgrade the community park facilities. Old Harley said, " If it was good enough for my kids, it is good enough for their kids". Of course Harley lives in another part of town so his kids, now in college, didn’t use that park anyway.

Jerry really wants to help the local children by getting rid of dangerous and outdated playground equipment, and by redoing the playing fields. He asks a professor from Prescott Community College (PCC) to do a study of over 700 people to find out how they feel about the current park and do they use the park now in the state it is in. (Results for this study are on the next slide.)

Use this information to first create the percentages for each response, state your null and research hypotheses, and then using POLYSTAT calculate the Chi Square for this data.

Explain your answer and who will win this argument Jerry or the Mayor?
