See the unit 9 datafile for all the data needed for this activity. Using this file, you should complete a multiple regression analysis, with GPA as the criterion variable and ADDSC and SEX as the predictors.

SPSS Hints

The procedure for using SPSS to compute a multiple regression is identical to that used in the Unit 8 assignment.

Open the data file in SPSS ( File / Open / Data ).
Follow the path, Analyze / Regression / Linear , and identify the appropriate independent (predictor) and dependent (to be predicted) variable.
Select method = enter (This allows simultaneous entry of all independent variables, as opposed to other stepwise entry methods).
In the statistics options ( Statistics / Plots / Save ), include selected choices that will assist in interpretation.
Use SPSS help, the text or other books, or online resources to help you understand what the additional information may indicate. (See the references and additional resources listed in the model example).
As before, additional statistical procedures, such as Explore ( Analysis / Descriptives / Explore ) are also useful for data screening.
