(a) construct a histogram. You can download this data set from my website. The data set consists of 100 observations, placed in a column. In Excel select an array with data set, use: Data, Data Analysis, Descriptive Statistics, Summary Statistics to obtain all numerical characteristics. No two identical histograms will be accepted.

b) Select a random sample of size 15 from this data set and compute \(\bar{x}\), \({{s}^{2}}\) for this sample.

(Use a statistical package or calculator).

c) Count the number of measurements in the intervals \(\bar{x}\pm s\), \(\bar{x}\pm 2s\) and \(\bar{x}\pm 3s\)

Express each count as a percentage of the total number of measurements.

d) Compare the percentages found in c) to the percentages given by the Empirical Rule and Chebyshev's Rule.
