Question: A distribution that is flatter than the Z-distribution is called platykurtic. A distribution that is more peaked than the Z-distribution is called leptokurtic. The Z-distribution itself is called mesokurtic. Will the population standard deviation, σ, be larger for a leptokurtic distribution than for than for a platykurtic distribution?
