Question: There are many claims about the speed of computers. Usually the first thing to be announced is the processor speed of a new machine. You know, the old 2 GHz or 4GHz or whatever. There are many factors that can affect the actual time it takes to run programs. We often test machines to see how fast they are at running a particular program or suite of programs that we expect to run frequently. Two systems, the SpeedyDee (SD) and the QuicklikeaBunny (QB) are compared by running a suite of programs ten times on each machine. The total time is recorded for each run. What do the times tell us about which machine to buy? Explain.
