The columns are represented by: Rollercoaster name, Amusement Park that the rollercoaster is in, Type of rollercoaster wood=1 and steel=2, Length of the track in feet, Height of the tallest hill in feet, and maximum Speed in miles per hour. We want to look at the distribution of the maximum speed of these rollercoasters.
a) Describe the population.
b) Construct a histogram of the speed. Use 10 classes (intervals) and use the cutpoint as the interval type.
c) Give the mean, standard deviation, median, Q1 and Q3 for the maximum speed from this sample.
d) Construct a Normal Probability plot from the random variable speed. Can we determine that the maximum speed of the rollercoasters has an approximate Normal distribution?
e) Estimate the mean maximum speed of all rollercoasters found in the United States. Use a 99% confidence interval.
