Question: The attached file ArmyExerciseData are exercise capacities (minutes) for army inductees after a new training method was introduced. The capacity was measured with a bicycle ergometer. It is known that the mean for all army inductees equals 26.5 minutes. The army claims that the new training method significantly improved the time until a recruit was tired. Assume the data is normal. Using SPSS, answer the following questions with the data attached. Assume a two tail test.
a. State the Null and Alternate Hypotheses.
b. Consider Outliers and Missing Values as you have in previous assignments. Use Explore.
c. Handle Calculate a 95% Confidence Interval.
d. Verify your hand calculated(c above) 95% Confidence Interval for the Sample Mean by using SPSS.
e. Use SPSS to calculate the pvalue. See B5.
f. Evaluate your Hypothesis test at a level α = 0.05. Can the Army’s claim be supported? Make sure to include your pvalue, Zscore and level of significance in your evaluation. Be as detailed as possible.
