Question: I often hear debates about which characteristics of a car contribute to better gas mileage. In an effort to resolve this, data from Consumer Reports on the experience with 2002 model cars are presented in the file 2002 cars.xlsx. Explore these data to develop a model to predict City mileage (litres/100 km) for a car. Begin with an analysis of the correlation matrix to identify possible interesting models, and then determine a “best” model for mileage prediction.
