Question: Swimming pool maintenance is expensive because of the cost of chlorine required to keep the pool water clear and free of germs. A hotel chain with outdoor pools collected data to determine whether chlorine depletion occurs faster in water at a higher temperature, occurs faster in water that is more acidic (measured by the pH level: pH = 0 is very acidic and pH = 14 is very alkaline, and a pH of 7 is neutral) and also whether sunlight affects chlorine depletion. The file Chlorine.xlsx contains 210 observations each taken over 8 hours, with the following data:

Column B: Percentage depletion of chlorine over 8 hours

Column C: Temperature in degrees Celsius

Column D: pH level

Column E: 1 = mainly cloudy; 2 = sunny; 3 = partly sunny.

Explore these data to construct a model of chlorine depletion. Can we infer that temperature, acidity, and/or sunlight influences chlorine depletion?
