Question: One-way ANOVA and post-hoc analyses
A biologist wished to examine the nutrient value of six different food supplements. One hundred and fifty four rats of the same species were randomly assigned to one of six groups. Each group had a different supplement added to its food, and the rats’ weight gain over the ensuing months was recorded in grams.
Use the data in Prac7.sav to answer the following questions:
Research Questions:
a) Are there significant differences in weight gain across the food supplements?
b) Between which food supplements were there differences in weight gain?
Write up the analyses in a format suitable for the Results section of a research report. You may want to present your results in a table. If so, make sure that you follow the guidelines for a table in Findlay (2003).
Provide some interpretation of your results. This should be less than a page.
