Question: Research Question. A counseling psychologist conducts a study to determine the effectiveness of different approaches to treating generalized anxiety disorder. Subjects with this disorder are randomly assigned to three groups. One group undergoes cognitive therapy, a second group is trained in biofeedback, and a third untreated group serves as a control. Anxiety scores for each group are listed in the table below. Lower scores indicate lower levels of anxiety.
