Question: In the previous problem, if the constraint x1 > 8 is changed to x1 < 8, what effect does this have on the feasible solution space and the optimal solution?

I will not accept the answer given in the back of your textbook.  You need to tell me how it changes the optimal solution.  There are three possibilities:

1. There is a new optimal solution.  If this is the case, indicate the optimal point.
2. The problem becomes infeasible.
3. The optimal solution lies along a constraint line.
