Question: It is known that when the population distribution is normal, the sample mean also follows normal distribution. Unfortunately, we have no way to know the population distribution in general. In spite of this, we can use normal distribution theory when we do inferences on the population mean using the sample mean when the sample size is large enough. Name the property we use here to allow us to use the asymptotic normality, and explain briefly what it means.
