Individual Question #3 "Boosting Magazine Sales"

Two-way analysis of variance tests the significance of main and interaction effects. These tests must be carried out separately.

Your Individual Question:

Test the significance of the Cover-Display interaction effect. Can you conclude that the difference between cover designs changes when display location changes?

Steps:

Make sure to read about significance tests in two-way ANOVA in the assigned readings for this week module.

Locate INTERACTION row in the "ANOVA" table of the Excel output.

Within the INTERACTION row, locate F -statistics and its p -value.

Test the hypotheses about significance of Cover-Display interaction effect with 95% confidence. Remember that you reject the null hypothesis if your p -value is less than the desired level of significance, which is 5% in this case.

Make inference about Cover-Display interaction effect. Can you infer that the difference between average sales of magazines with Blue&Red and White-Black covers changes significantly when display location changes? Should you consider a combination of both cover design and display location when making a suggestion on improving magazine sales?
