One benefit of exercise is that it raises an individual’s metabolic rate. In a study to determine the effect of duration of exercise on the metabolic rate, a sample of 12 regular exercisers was drawn. The amount of time each individual exercised and the metabolic rate 1 hour after the exercise were measured. The data are listed here:
