Regression Model for Predicting Weight

Introduction

The main objective of this paper is to create a regression model to estimate the weight of an individual in terms of her body mass index. The dependent variable is weight , and the independent variable is body mass index .

The variables that will be used are measured at the ratio level, for which reason it makes statistical sense to conduct a regression analysis. In the following sections, the assumptions for a linear regression will be assessed and a linear regression model will be quantitatively estimated.
