Part I: The context

The purpose of this paper is assessing the effect of a training program performed in the public health system in Orange County, California. For the purpose of the analysis, a dataset with nine variables, some of them demographic and others variables that indicate information about level of knowledge and confidence before and after the training program, and 60 cases is used.

Various appropriate descriptive statistics will be performed, along with inferential statistics analyses to assess the relationship between knowledge and confidence before and after the training program.

Part II: Description of the sample

The dataset to be used has 60 cases and it involves the following variables:

  • Gender (nominal)
  • Age (scale)
  • Qualification (nominal)
  • Worksite (nominal)
  • Knowledge1 (scale)
  • Knowledge2 (scale)
  • Years (scale)
  • Confidence (scale)
  • Exam (scale)
