Collect 500 heights of students and do the following analysis: Find the average and the standard deviation

Collect 500 heights of students and do the following analysis:

  1. Find the average and the standard deviation and plot a histogram for the data (use a fraction of the standard deviation as the width of each stem of the histogram)
  2. Subtract the average from each data point and then find the average of the absolute values of the resulting differences; compare this average to the standard deviation.
  3. Divide your histogram into 8 sections using standard deviation as the width of each section. Find how many points fall in each section (use percentages %). Use the normal probability table to find the probability of being (use percentage %). Compare each corresponding with each other’s.

Repeat the above exercise for 1000 heights and comment on the differences between the two cases.
