T-test Analysis for Success Scores

Introduction

The objective of this paper is to analyze a set of scores that represent an appraisal of success, and to assess the difference of success scores between two groups that represent those subjects who exhibit consistency or inconsistency in terms of the consistency or inconsistency between appraised and reflected score of a series of variables defined in the dataset.

Methods

For the purpose of this analysis, a t-test for independent samples will be performed. The dataset used for the analysis consists of 20 valid cases and several variables, out of which only two variables will be used: T1 (a measure of success, scale variable) and Group (a nominal variable with levels 1 = Consistent, 2 = Inconsistent). The assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variances will be verified as well.
