The following research questions will be addressed for the two datasets.

Research Question

Do households with a history of domestic violence have statistically significant differences in religious affiliation, spouse's religious affiliation , family income, husband's occupational type, wife's occupational type, frequency of churchgoing together, whose word final most, traditionality of sex roles, respondent's years of schooling, and spouse's years of schooling, compared to households without a history of domestic violence?

In order to test the research question above, a distinction between the scale and categorical variables needs to be taken into account. For scale level variables traditionality of sex roles, respondent's years of schooling, and spouse's years of schooling ) a t-test for two-independent samples needs to be performed. For the rest of variables, which are categorical, a Chi-Square of independence must be performed.
