Problem Statement

The purpose of this analysis is to assess whether or not there is a significant degree of linear association between GNP per capita and mean life satisfaction .

Procedures

An initial descriptive statistical analysis of the variables is conducted to assess the existence of outliers and to assess whether or not the assumptions of a linear regression model are met. A regression analysis will be conducted and a quantitative model will be reported and interpreted. Unstandardized residuals will be saved and analyzed.

Results

From Table 1 below it is found that the mean life satisfaction is M = 7.3389 and the mean GNP per capita is M = 6829.3684 .
