Project Use multiple regression tools including SPSS outputs, linear models, hypothesis testing and residual

Project

Use multiple regression tools including SPSS outputs, linear models, hypothesis testing and residual graphs to write a report relating life expectancy with the other variables provided in the data. Life expectancy for females and life expectancy for males should be considered separately.

Below are some suggestions:

Formulate an ‘initial’ regression model relating LifExpFem with EnrolFem , Physician , InfantMort , HealthExp , EduExp and the dummy variables representing Group .

After interpreting this ‘initial’ model, consider whether there might be a ‘better’ model by eliminating some of the independent variables.

Check the adequacy of your model and use this ‘final’ model to predict female life expectancy for Australia and to provide some measure of the accuracy of the prediction.

Follow the same process for LifExpMal , but this time with EnrolMal as one of the independent variables.

Compare the two models and discuss their similarities and differences.

Write a report presenting and clarifying your results to the project officer who has employed you.

Your report might include the above suggestions , but should not be limited by them. To gain a competitive advantage among your classmates, you should provide us with ‘ something extra ’ that could show us your initiative to go one step further. Your report should have section headings and might include (if necessary) an appendix at the back.
