1. Use data from Table 1.8 (1 ^st edition) or table 1.10 (2nd edition) which is also available on Blackboard, course materials, statistical tables and data files as table_01_008.xls to perform a One-Way ANOVA looking at the 4 gender-ethnic combinations as the factor. Do the analysis by hand except generate the descriptive statistics and boxplots using Minitab software.
2. Now repeat the analysis of question 1 but use Minitab One-Way ANOVA and compare to your manual calculations and discuss and interpret the results.
   Similarly, discuss and compare the results you just obtained against those of a previous assignment using this data to compare individual population means. Include those results as part of this submittal.
3. Using data from majors.xls perform the following one and two way ANOVA (by hand and using Minitab to verify your work):
   - Gender and SATM.
   - Major and SATM.
   - Gender, major and SATM using first an additive model and then add the interaction component.
4. Textbook problem \(15.30\,\) 1 ^st edition of the textbook from the posted chap 15 .pdf file on Blackboard. Two-Way ANOVA by hand. Hint: perform the 2 one-way ANOVA table analysis first and use those results for portions of the two-way ANOVA table. Again, use Minitab descriptive statistics to assist you. Hint: Enter the type of pot in one column, the type of food in a second column, and the iron content in a third column. Now repeat the analysis but use Minitab Two-Way ANOVA on stacked data. Perform Minitab analysis using both interaction model and additive only model and generate boxplots as well as residual analysis as covered in class.
