Topic: The Impact of Fasting on Diabetes Management , Barriers to Exercise, and Health status among Arab- American Patients with Diabetes Mellitus during Ramadan .
Deadline: Three days.
Purpose : This study aims at finding out the relationship between fasting and barriers to physical activity besides progress in diabetes self-management and health status among diabetic patients. The study focuses on the Arab American Muslims living in America and mainly entails those patients suffering specifically from type 2 diabetes.
Part One
Hypothesis 1 : Fasting for a five consecutive days during Ramadan would not have a negative impact on the aspect of Diabetes self-management behaviors among DM patients Pre –Post fasting.
Questions 1: A researcher is interested in evaluating the effect of fasting pre – post on Diabetes self-management behaviors among type 2 diabetes patients in fasting and non-fasting group.
Scale : Diabetes Management were measured by The Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA) scale and possible total scores range from 0 to 84 points with higher scores indicating better diabetes management.
Decision: we accept the hypothesis because the P values (see ANOVA table 1) more than .05
Data: See attachment 1 called Diabetes Management data 1
Output: See attachment 1 called Diabetes Management Output 1

Assignment Instruction
- Report the data such as means , standard deviations, F test in APA style
- Interpret and explain the result in full detailed in APA style.
- Explain the decision of accepting the hypothesis.
Part T wo
Hypothesis 2 : Fasting for a five consecutive days during Ramadan would not have a negative impact on in the aspect of barriers to Exercise of among DM patients Pre –Post fasting.
Questions 2: A researcher is interested in evaluating the effect of fasting pre – post on barriers to Exercise among type 2 diabetes patients in fasting and non-fasting group.
Data: See attachment 2 called Exercise Barriers data 2.
Output: See attachment 2 called Exercise Barriers output 2.
Scale: barriers to exercise were measured by Exercise barriers sub scale (EBBS) scores range between 14 and 56 with the higher the score on the Barriers Scale, the greater the perception of barriers to exercise.
Decision: we accept the hypothesis because the P values (see ANOVA table 2) more than .05

Part Three
Hypothesis 3 : Fasting for a five consecutive days during Ramadan would not have a negative impact on Health status among DM patients Pre –Post fasting.
Questions 3: A researcher is interested in evaluating the effect of fasting pre – post on Health status among type 2 diabetes patients in fasting and non fasting group.
Data: See attachment 3 called Health status data3.
Output: See attachment 3 called Health status output 3.
Scale: participant health status was measured by the short- form health survey (SF-12 v2). Scores on the total scale can range from 0–100 with higher scores indicating better health-related quality of life
Decision: we accept the hypothesis because the P values (see ANOVA table 3) more than .05
