Health Data Analyses Paper
The objectives of this project are to develop confidence and competencies related to:
- Manipulating large datasets
- Formulating researchable questions & hypotheses.
- Selecting appropriate statistical tests, performing analyses, and interpreting output.
- Communicating findings in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
Project Guidelines :
- Develop two researchable questions that can be explored using the assigned dataset.
- Conducting a secondary analysis of the data, investigate the question using the appropriate inferential statistical techniques. Describe the quantitative methods that were used.
- Describe the results using APA format. Create tables and/or graphs as appropriate.
Introduction : (15 points)
- Introduce the researchable questions that were developed.
- Briefly describe the rationale for the questions.
Sample / Methods ( 40 points )
- Describe the sample in terms of gender, race, and age distribution.
- Based on the level of measurement, describe the key study variables in terms of distribution and central tendency.
- Describe the statistical methods/tests used to investigate question/test hypothesis. Include data any transformations, re-coding, etc. performed by student.
Results – (45 points)
- Present the results using APA format. ( 2 5 points )
- Must include relevant tables and charts you develop to assist in clarifying the findings.
