Computer Exercise 7: Correlation

For this week's computer exercise, you need to generate a research question or a hypothesis using the variables in Perceived Nursing Work Environment (PNWE)* dataset. Run the appropriate analysis, interpret PASW output, and write up and discuss the results. For derails about the PNWE dataset, please read the PASW Example for Correlation in the Lecture Notes.

*This week we will use a different dataset called PNWE dataset, which includes many continuous variables. Our Book 5 includes only a few continuous variables.

Make sure (1) you select at least three variables, and (2) your selection of variables meets the level of measurement required for correlation—all these variables must be continuous.

PNWE dataset

  1. Generate one research question or a hypothesis
  2. Check the assumptions of correlation
  3. Run correlation
  4. Interpret PASW output and write up your findings. Your report includes:

Your research question or hypothesis

The results of assumption check

Your answer to the question

Correlation matrix table—refer to the following template
